The Role

We are looking for an energetic Business Development Representative to build revenue pipeline for the sales team. You’ll have the chance to learn from sales and marketing, and customer excellence paving the way for a multitude of future roles in a rapidly changing and growing SaaS company.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely and collaboratively with Sales Representatives to develop and implement appropriate prospecting and territory plans.
  • Conduct high volume prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • Schedule discovery meetings for Sales Representatives to further assess a prospect's business and potential for partnership with Checkit.
  • Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects.
  • Help businesses realise the potential of real-time digital operations.
  • Actively drive your career by learning the disciplines and frameworks to be a great salesperson, leader, and executive.
  • Ensure that the Company’s Quality standard (9001) and other compliance standards including Information Security (27001) are continually maintained and adhered to.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will use a combination of phone, email, social media, chat and direct mail to help build our sales pipeline by connecting with prospective customers, understanding their unique needs, and identifying the best way to position Checkit. You’ll have the opportunity to master your sales skills in an environment that fosters continuous learning and growth.

 

Essential

  • A track record of high achievement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Are naturally curious and passionate
  • The technical aptitude to master our sales tools
  • A keenly developed competitive nature
  • A "one-speed" energy with a highly self-driven sense of motivation
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis
  • Previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas a plus (but not required)



Desirable

  • Experience in Internet of Things (IoT) and Sensors
  • International experience (ideally in the USA)
  • Knowledge of ISO27001, ISO17025 and ISO 15189
