UKHospitality has launched the latest edition of its Food Service Management Report (FSM Report), outlining key challenges and opportunities for the sector in an event sponsored by Checkit.
Kate Nicholls, UKHospitality Chief Executive said: “This report underlines the importance and vibrancy of the sector as well as the opportunities and challenges it faces.”
The UKHospitality FSM Report highlights key trends in the food service sector giving an overview of the market itself ranging from turnover to employment and discussing the use of technology, diversity, sustainability, workforce and government regulations.
The data shows that in 2017 the sector had a turnover of £10.2BN and employment numbers grew to 282,000. But also shows there is a great concern about their ability to hire workers and the potential lack of products following Brexit.
