Monitoring solution protects long-term research samples at APHA

A dedicated monitoring network was installed to maximise stability and minimise disruption across the APHA estate, protecting critical research samples

The below content was written prior to May 2020 when Checkit launched a new website. This coincided with the use of updated terminology for solutions, concepts and company names. The companies Tutela, Axon and Next Control Systems are now Checkit. Checkit’s Real-time Operations Management is now referred to as Connected Workflow Management, Tutela solutions are now referred to as Automated Monitoring +, and Axon/Next Control Systems solutions are now referred to as Connected Building Management.

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), a department of Defra, was seeking a safe and secure method for protecting its temperature sensitive reference materials. Safeguarding and 24/7 365 continuous, uninterrupted monitoring of APHA’s valuable tissue, pathogen and reference materials is paramount for continued research. A dedicated monitoring network was installed to maximise stability and minimise disruption across the estate.
